TROUT SEASON 2009 - 2010

As for the trout fishing in Tasmania the following waters are providing the best results:

Woods Laker on any day with good cloud cover and any West windy conditions however this water can get too hot in Jan so give it a miss then

Little Pine is by far the best from now until the end of Feb but needs cloud cover

Penstock is good now for any experienced angler and will be popular until after Feb - go on any cloudy day.

The Western lakes are really fisring well and great on any sunny day for polaroiding or if cloudy then expect a dun hatch

Great Lake is good on any sunny day for grest lake "sharks"

Pine Tier is good for beginners with plenty of small fish and some decent ones as well.

The Lowland rivers have grasshoppers on the banks now so go there on any sunny or bright windy day

There are plenty of other options but these are the best so far.
