Late summer fly fishing tasmania

Summer is here and the "dun" hatches are happening on any cloudy day.
However some waters are still slow such as Arthurs Lake and Woods Lake which is a mystery.
Perhaps the extra water is affecting them.

Arthurs Lake although it has limited dun hatches is producing the best fishing so far with many fish available feeding on midge from noon onwards.

Penstock has been fishing well with a wet fly and has had the best dun hatches to date.

Little Pine has a dun hatch on the right day and is the better water to go to.

The Western lakes are also haveing good dun hatches and wonderful spinner hatches.

These waters are the best prospects so far this summer.
